Hip bursitis is a common condition causing hip and leg pain that ranges from uncomfortable to severe. Bursitis is inflammation of the bursa, a fluid filled sac located between the bony point at the side of the upper leg bone and the overlying soft tissue. The bursa protects the bone from friction from the overlying tissue, and can easily become irritated or inflamed.
Hip bursitis causes pain at the side of the hip that can also extend down the leg. It is often worse when lying on that side at night or when getting up out of a chair, and can can persist for many years if left untreated.
Here at Heart To Hand Osteopathy we have great success in reducing the pain of hip bursitis. If you’d like to chat, I invite you to call Dan on 0466 264 568 or book online.
