Any type of trauma to the head, or to the neck, can adversely affect the skull bones, blood flow to the brain, and the flow of the fluid which protects, nourishes, and cleanses the brain. Subsequently this can lead to headaches, neck pain, fatigue, fogginess, poor memory, poor concentration, and disturbed sleep.
Head or neck trauma can occur due to a motor vehicle accident, fall, sporting injury (eg, being crushed in a football scrum or tackle), and sadly, during domestic violence. The effects of such trauma can persist for years if untreated, and often can improve quite quickly with the right treatment.
Craniosacral Therapy (also called cranial osteopathy) can address the effects of head and neck trauma, leading to a significant improvement in health and well-being.
Here at Heart To Hand Osteopathy we address head trauma and its effects on the body. If you’ve had any type of trauma to the head or neck, and you’d like to chat, I invite you to give Dan a call on 0466 264 568 or book online.
